Pre-entry requirements
For a first multi-pilot type rating under Part-FCL (FCL.720.A) you normally need:
- At least 70 hours as pilot-in-command on aeroplanes
- A multi-engine instrument rating (IR(A)), held now or previously
- Passed the ATPL(A) theory exams
- A completed MCC course (or equivalent multi-crew experience)
- Completed the high performance aeroplane course (FCL.745.A) where it applies to the type
Type rating courses are run as a crew of two. No colleague to train with? Tell us and we will help you find one.
