Aim of the Course
 

Take part in our newly introduced ATR type rating training program and elevate your aviation career. We aim to provide a the highest possible service to meet the needs of each student. With flexible scheduling options and a client-centric approach, we’re dedicated to helping you achieve your type rating.

Cost and General Information
 

Cost for a type rating course is offered on a single student basis, though please note that in order to start a course a full crew of two students is required. Our current price is 19 500 euros, incl. VAT. Including, ground school and documentation, CPT/FSTD training sessions and skill test, and associated instructor/ examiner (TRI/TRE). Excluding, travel, accommodation and auxiliary expenses.

All type rating courses are done as part of a crew, in order to improve the training quality, efficiency and cost sharing. Should you wish to acquire the type rating and do not have a colleague to share the cost with please contact us to assist in finding a colleague.

Pre-Entry Requirements
 

An applicant for the first type rating course for a multi-pilot aeroplane shall be a student pilot currently undergoing training on an MPL training course or comply with the following requirements:

  • Have at least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC on aeroplanes.

  • Have or have held a multi-engine IR(A).

  • Passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations in accordance with Part- FCL.

  • Have completed the training course specified in Part FCL.745.A.

  • Except when the type rating course is combined with an MCC course comply with any of the following requirements:

    • Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course in aeroplanes.

    • Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of MCC in helicopters and have more than 100 hours of flight experience as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopters.

    • Have at least 500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopters.

    • Have at least 500 hours as a pilot in multi-pilot operations on single- pilot multiengine aeroplanes, in commercial air transport in accordance with the applicable air operations requirements.

An applicant for the issue of additional multi-pilot type ratings shall hold a multi-engine IR(A).

Specific OSD Requirements
 

An applicant for the first type rating course for a multi-pilot aeroplane shall be a student
In addition to the general pre-entry requirements, for Commanders:

  • Valid and current ATPL.

  • Have at least 1500 hours as a pilot.

  • Have at least 500 hours as a Part-25 or Part-23 aircraft operated in multi crew environment.

In addition to the general pre-entry requirements, for First Officers:

  • Valid and current CPL with ME/IR.

  • Have at least 500 hours as a pilot.

  • Have at least 200 hours as a Part-25 or Part-23 aircraft operated in multi crew environment.

For those pilots who do not meet the specific OSD prerequisites but considered to have sufficient experience and skills, an initial evaluation shall be done in order to assess if the trainee has sufficient level for entering the initial type rating course. Training Syllabi
 

The training syllabi shall consist of the following parts.

  • Part 1: Ground training.

  • Part 2: Aeroplane training using fixed base simulator or procedure trainer (CPT).

  • Part 3: Aeroplane training using full flight simulator training device (FSTD).

  • Part 4: Aeroplane training (A/C).

Timeline
 

Please consider for the theoretical part (part 1 & 2) to spend approximately 2 weeks of full time study. For the remaining synthetic training (part 3 and FSTD) additionally 2 weeks.

 

The last portion of aircraft training to be completed during one day and in conjunction with the skill test forming the last part of the FSTD training.
